Founded by Nick Weickenmeier, Bijan Gordjani and Max Meran
Max Meran and Nick Weickenmeier founded re-green in 2023; Bijan Gordjani joined as third co-founder in 2026.
Nick Weickenmeier
Industrial engineering graduate and experienced entrepreneur. As COO/CTO, he leads the technical and operational delivery of CO₂ savings, drawing on more than 10 years of experience in plant engineering, building services and managing complex construction projects.
Max Meran
Entrepreneur with broad expertise in energy projects, project finance and energy regulation. As CEO of re-green, he leads the development of integrated energy systems for owners of commercial real estate, without upfront investment on their part.
Bijan Gordjani
Finance expert with extensive experience in structured finance, securitisation and energy infrastructure financing. Before re-green, he was Director Structured Finance at Enpal, structuring large-scale financings for PV, storage and charging infrastructure. As CFO of re-green, he is responsible for financing, capital structure and scaling the asset portfolio.
re-green grew out of a pressing market question.
In 2023, Max Meran recognised that owners of commercial real estate were under growing pressure to decarbonise their buildings, while many lacked the capital, capacity and technical know-how to do so.
re-green was founded to solve exactly this problem. Together with Nick Weickenmeier, Max developed a scalable approach to energy retrofits, now supported by our own software suite.
The idea of a one-stop shop for financing, planning, construction and operation grew into an interdisciplinary team with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. In 2026, Bijan Gordjani, previously Director Structured Finance at Enpal, joined re-green as co-founder and CFO.
Our goal: by the end of 2030, we aim to decarbonise 3,000 commercial properties and equip them with modern energy infrastructure, at no investment cost to their owners.
